Social Media

Draft • May 23, 2024

Since 2014, I have been on various social medias and multiple communities.

YouTube

2014-2015 (3233 era)
The largest video sharing platform and the biggest influence for me. YouTube played a big role in how I got news and listened to music. This platform was where I ended up finding out about Five Night's at Freddys' with videos from EthGoesBOOM, Hotdiggedydemon, and Markiplier and possibly when I noticed I first liked certain music artists, those being TheLivingTombstone and DAGames. I believe Smosh's "MAGIC IPAD" video was my first one of theirs.

2016-2018 (87 era)
During this time, I spent hours watching "edgy comedy" commentators such as GradeAUnderA, LeafyIsHere, and watched reactions channels such as Charmx, RashadTheReactor, and Reaction Time. About this time is where I watched original funny YouTubers such as TheAngryGrandpaShow, Plainrock124, AlienMyth64, KidBehindACamera, and Ashens. Overall, this era was the most fun for me with drama in the community and watching funny videos.

2018-2019 (Pre-PostPS era)
I ended up getting up getting into Five Nights at Freddy's more and the fan games, even more horror video games. I learned about more music that I like, and I got more into "YouTuber music" and "dank memes". This was around the time the Area 51 'raid' happened and Pre-Twitter Elon Musk existed. Since I was also on Reddit at the time, I was subscribed to the 'Reddit crew' (at the time, WildSpartanz, Quackity, Kinganii, BluesDank, and Hooverr).

2019-2022 (Post-PostPS era)
This is in relation to my time on TikTok and Twitter during the pandemic. While stuck at home and not attending Zoom classes, I watched Luke Abercrombie, Skeppy, JustVurb, and Spifey, and also started using TikTok. With me watching Minecraft YouTubers a lot I decided to lurk in on the fanbases (called MCYTTWT).

2023-present (Jeweldation/Gemdation era)
2023 was where I stopped using Twitter (and therefore forgot about DreamSMP). I explored more technology YouTubers such as DankPods, Technology Connections, and Michael MJD. With YouTube Shorts, I also subscribed to more YouTubers (such as Sambucha and Doug Sharpe).
